Home Support Services

Home support services that I offer are tailored to meet different needs according to the individual. This includes help with paperwork such as managing post, dealing with utility suppliers, and assisting with benefits or pension applications. Day-to-day assistance includes housekeeping, shopping, pet care, attending appointments, and organising travel. I also provide help with computers, tablets, and mobile phones, as well as guidance in using online services. On the social side, I offer companionship and help in connecting with the local community. Additionally, I support healthcare needs by managing prescriptions and referring to additional services when necessary.

I am flexible and more than happy to provide home support services with other matters within reason and within my expertise and experience.

Post & Prescriptions:

Sometimes letters that come through the post can be difficult to understand. I can help with making sense of these letters and putting into action any requests that are made, as well as helping to keep it all organised for further reference.

Contacting Utility Suppliers:

These days contacting suppliers can be very challenging, particularly when you have to navigate through multiple automated voice recordings. I can help with this.

Appointments and
Travel Arrangements:

Getting in touch with healthcare providers also holds its own challenges. If you are having trouble getting in touch by phone, I can help with requesting appointments online, but also help you to keep your appointment by either organising transportation or using my own vehicle if needed. I am also happy to attend an appointment with you if you feel you would like that additional support.

Support with Benefits/Pension Applications:

If you have ever had to complete an application or renewal for benefits or pensions, you will be familiar with the length and complexity of information that can be asked of you sometimes. I can help you with gathering the information needed, support you with completing the forms and getting it sent off.

Supporting with Pet Care:

If taking care of your pet is becoming a little more challenging, I am more than happy to help. Animal welfare is also close to my heart, so if you need support with ensuring their basic needs are being met, I am happy to help with some guidance and support where needed.

Companionship:

Sometimes we just want a little company and someone to talk to. I enjoy spending time with all walks of life and am more than happy to be a listening ear and help you put the world to rights.

Connecting to Local Community:

Are you struggling to get out and about and would love to partake in certain activities or groups in the community? I am happy to work alongside you to look into what is happening in your local area and find the best way to to make that happen, in a way that best
suits your needs and wishes.

Referring to Additional Support Services if needed:

As time goes on, you may find that you need more support in daily life, but are not sure how best to go about this. If I am not in a position to offer further assistance due to the nature of the support that is needed, I am confident and experienced in reaching out to other trusted services that may be suitable.

Help with Computer & Mobile Devices:

Another challenge facing everyone today is the growing push towards getting online. For many this can be a very daunting and frustrating aspect of modern living. I am not an IT specialist, but I can certainly help you with navigating the basics of getting online and making the best use of your computer or mobile phone.

Housekeeping & Shopping:

You may just need a little help with keeping your house clean and tidy or you may want support with a deep clean and declutter. I am more than happy to get stuck in, along with providing support with shopping, whether it be online or in store. I am happy to collect, deliver and accompany if needed.
